Whistleblowing

Whistleblowing: an internal reporting system under Law 4990/2022

Law 4990/2022 brought the EU Whistleblower Directive into Greek law. Companies with 50 or more employees, firms in financial services of any size, and public bodies must give people a safe way to report breaches and must appoint a person to receive and follow up the reports. We put that system in place.

What we deliver

  • A whistleblowing policy written for your company.
  • The design of the internal reporting channel, with confidentiality for the person who reports.
  • The procedure for receiving, acknowledging and following up reports within the legal deadlines.
  • Guidance for the person you appoint to receive and follow up reports.

Why it matters beyond the law

Many frauds and serious breaches are first noticed by people inside the company. A channel staff trust brings those problems to management early, while they are still small and easier to fix.

Who leads the work

Whistleblowing work is led by Michalis G. Pouspourikas, CFE, CICA, CCS, MSc, Head of Corporate Governance Services.
